I read on ABC.net.au about a man, working on a farm in Kenya, who got tangled up with a huge python. The snake coiled around him and dragged him up a tree and then when it relaxed its grip... "Mr Nyaumbe said he was able to take a mobile phone out of his pocket and phone for help"...

Now if that was in Australia, and the phone was a Telstra mobile, we would never have heard of Mr Nyaumbe's plight. The poor Kenyan man would have taken his mobile phone out of his pocket and cried in despair at the absence of bars on the screen.
