Take advantage of the low fuel prices! Go for a drive around town one evening and see the bright lights of Innisfail. There are some amazing displays of Christmas lights and characters to be seen around Innisfail. Many of them have entered into a competition run by the Council (more info www.cassowarycoast.qld.gov.au ) and the judges will announce the winner the Saturday before Christmas.

You can vote for your favourite Christmas lights right here. This is not connected with the CCRC competition in anyway, will probably not affect their decision, and there is no prize, other than a certificate acknowledging that the winner is the People's Choice for Best Christmas Lights 2008.

My personal favourite has to be the massive display on Boogan Road in between Mourilyan and South Johnstone. Bigger and brighter than last year plus there are blow-up characters and moving characters. You can't just drive past. Stop and get out and enjoy the fantastic display.
