About

"We had a great time last night at Off The Rails Cafe sth Johnstone. Having just heard of your website, I really hope these events are well listed in future. Especially the happenings of the Mena Creek Folkies... or any such musical events... We are relatively new to the area... only a few years. It's sometimes hard to know what is happening around. Your site is great and I am glad we found it. Thanking you."

Up-to-date Events

You will only receive details of events in the categories that you choose, and your email address will not be passed on to any one else or used for any other purpose. In 2008 over 300 events were listed; use the calendar to go back in time and see what you missed!

List Your Event for Free
Anyone can list a local event on CassowaryConnect.com for free, eg a school fete, a meeting, an exhibition, a garage sale. We all like to know what is happening in our area so this is a great way of keeping everyone informed.
  • a photo can be included with your listing
  • a map is added automatically
  • your event is categorised and sent out to interested people in an automatic weekly mailout every Thursday.

News
The News page is a fairly recent addition and still under development. It was originally intended to be a space to discuss events that had been listed on Cassowary Connect, for example the Open Air Movie Night put on by Hazel Holland and the CWA on 29/11/2008. However it can be used for a variety of uses, for exmple, it was used for the first time in 2008 to vote for the Best Christmas Lights.

Improvements
CassowaryConnect.com is custom made and therefore it can be, and has been, improved or changed based on user comments and suggestions. The site looks quite different now from what it did on 08/08/08. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to contact me.
