CassowaryConnect.com is a home-grown website by locals for locals: individuals, community groups, charities, and small businesses. It was launched back in 2008 by two local women looking for an accessible and easy-to-use events calendar. They couldn’t find one, so they made one.
CassowaryConnect.com is now run by one person with the help of many locals who regularly add and update their event listings. It is not funded by or affiliated with the Cassowary Coast Regional Council. Nor is Cassowary Connect associated in any way with ‘My Community Connect’.
Up-to-date Events
CassowaryConnect.com lists special one-off, monthly, and yearly events chronologically, and regular events on day pages. Each listing has a contact form, location map and tools to help you share the event with others. To keep up-to-date you can also have diary reminders delivered weekly straight to your email inbox. You will only receive details of events in the categories that you choose, and your email address will not be passed on to any one else or used for any other purpose. List Your Event in the Community Diary for Free
Anyone can list a local event on CassowaryConnect.com for free, eg a school fete, a meeting, an exhibition, a garage sale. We all like to know what is happening in our area so this is a great way of keeping everyone informed.
